The Community Foundation of South Wood County and The Ford Foundation to Receive COF Award

INDIANAPOLIS, IndianaApril 14, 2008 - The Critical Impact Awards honor those who make a difference in their grantmaking while sharing with the public examples of how philanthropy seeks to enhance the common good. The Community Foundation of Greater South Wood County and its partner, the Ford Foundation, are honorees for their philanthropic support of the Community Progress Initiative, a community-wide effort in central Wisconsin.

CFSWC is a Ki ThoughtBridge client and for several years have developed and delivered the Advanced Leadership Institute, a leadership development program designed to equip Wisconsin community leaders with adaptive leadership skills using the Integrated Model of Leadership.  The Ford Foundation has funded the ALI. Ki ThoughtBridge is exceptionally pleased and proud of the honor bestowed on The CFSWC and Ford Foundation.

It is well deserved honor, and we have experienced firsthand the courage and commitment both institutions and their leaders have exhibited in our shared work.  For more information on the CFSWC and the Advanced Leadership Institute go to www.cfswc.org.

"This agreement [negotiated with the help of Ki ThoughtBridge] will result in saving millions of dollars in community health care cost while preserving the quality, service and access that our members deserve.

The hospitals are to be commended for working together to develop a collaborative, community solution to the problem of increasing health care costs."
