Sample Questions

Ki ThoughtBridge is frequently asked for help in dealing with organizational issues and challenges and our first response is to ask questions. We have learned in more than several decades that one of our most significant responsibilities is to help prospective or returning clients use our expertise to the maximum capacity in resolving the presenting and underlying problems.

In order to accomplish this we need to know what our clients know, what they want, and what they need. The responses to our questions begin to piece together a puzzle portrait and help us help them decide if we are the best and most appropriate choice. After listening to the presenting problem and clarifying the presenters perspective, there are a series of questions that should follow and that can enable us to decide how to choose the consultant best suited for them and how to work with them.

The following is a sample of questions we ask and you can adopt:

  1. What made you decide to choose Ki ThoughtBridge?

  2. Is this problem/challenging issue something the company has dealt with previously? If so, what did they do? What was the result?

  3. What criteria are you using in the selection of the companies you are interviewing? (The answer to this question can inform you of whether your company has the skills and tools to match the problem. It also will provide insight into how the organization problem solves and who makes key decisions).

  4. Have you used consultants previously? In what capacity? Tell us about your experience with them.

  5. What has been your staff's response to having outside consultants?

  6. What made you decide that you needed outside consultancy?

  7. How did you prepare for it? How did your staff get prepared?

  8. What are your hopes and concerns about using a consultant?
